1. Use: One-component silicone glass glue can be used immediately. It can be easily shot from the plastic bottle with a glue gun, and the surface can be trimmed with a spatula or wood chip. 2, sticking time: the curing process of silicone glue is developed from the surface inward, the silicone drying time and curing time of different properties are not the same, so to repair the surface must be done before the glass glue is dry (Acid glue, neutral transparent glue should generally be within 5-10 minutes, neutral variegated glue should generally be within 30 minutes). If you use color separation paper to cover a certain place, after applying the glue, be sure to remove it before the skin is formed.
3, curing time: the curing time of glass glue is increased with the increase of bonding thickness, for example, 12mm thickness of acid glass glue, it may take 3-4 days to solidify, but within about 24 hours, there is already 3mm outer layer Cured. When bonding glass, metal or most wood, it has a peel strength of 20 lbs/in after 72 hours at room temperature. If the glass glue is partially or completely closed, the curing time is determined by the tightness of the seal. In a closed place, it is possible to remain uncured forever. If the temperature is raised, the glass glue will be softened. The gap between the metal and metal bonding surfaces should not exceed 25 mm. In all kinds of bonding occasions, including sealing, the bonding effect should be thoroughly checked before using the bonded equipment. During the curing process, the acid glass glue will produce a smell due to the volatilization of acetic acid. This taste will disappear during the curing process and will have no odor after curing.
4, bonding: (1) completely wipe the metal and plastic surface, remove the oil, and then rinse the entire surface with acetone except the plastic, the surface of the rubber is sanded with sandpaper, and then rubbed with acetone. Observe the precautions when using this solvent when using acetone. (2) Apply the glass glue evenly on the surface of the prepared object. If the two surfaces are bonded together, place one side first and then use enough force to squeeze the other side to squeeze out the air, but Be careful not to squeeze out the glass glue. (3) Place the bonded device at room temperature until the glass glue is cured.
5. Sealing: When silicone glass glue is used for sealing, it is also carried out according to the above several steps. The glass glue is forced into the joint surface or the gap to make the glass glue fully contact with the surface.
